As the apples cook with the oatmeal they release their natural juices to add a delicate sweetness to the oatmeal. Naturally Sweetened Oatmeal
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- ½ c whole or quick cooking oats
- ½ apple diced small
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp non dairy milk (optional)
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil.
- Add oats to water and cook as directed, depending on if you're using whole or quick cooking oats. Whole oats may take a bit more time then quick cooking oats.
- Half way through cooking process add 1/2 the apple and continue to cook through.
- Add non dairy milk, if using.
- Once cooked pour into serving bowl, add remaining apples and your favorite oatmeal toppings. Nuts, seeds, chocolate chips, peanut butter, chocolate hummus, more fruit.
