Naturally Sweetened Oatmeal

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ c whole or quick cooking oats
  • ½ apple diced small
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp non dairy milk (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Bring water to a boil.
  • Add oats to water and cook as directed, depending on if you're using whole or quick cooking oats. Whole oats may take a bit more time then quick cooking oats.
  • Half way through cooking process add 1/2 the apple and continue to cook through.
  • Add non dairy milk, if using.
  • Once cooked pour into serving bowl, add remaining apples and your favorite oatmeal toppings. Nuts, seeds, chocolate chips, peanut butter, chocolate hummus, more fruit.
