Add oats to water and cook as directed, depending on if you're using whole or quick cooking oats. Whole oats may take a bit more time then quick cooking oats.
Half way through cooking process add 1/2 the apple and continue to cook through.
Add non dairy milk, if using.
Once cooked pour into serving bowl, add remaining apples and your favorite oatmeal toppings. Nuts, seeds, chocolate chips, peanut butter, chocolate hummus, more fruit.
